What's your fave?

I LOVE our class sets of instruments- and so do your children! We have at least one of these sets out during sessions each week - and we get to keep one for the WHOLE session! Why we love them;

  • They're FUN!

  • They're colourful - and this is a great way to develop language skills with your children.

  • No matter how you use them - they reward us with sound! And depending on how you have played them (shake, hit, bang, scrape...) they will give you a slightly different sound! This is a first exploration of "Timbre" one of the musical elements.

  • They're easy to master - play loudly? Sure! Play softly - OK Feeling a sense of accomplishment is important for emerging independence and development of fine motor skills

  • I can literally use them for any and EVERY musical concept- which makes them a wonderful starting point for instruments at home!

  • They're a great bargaining tool. Not your turn for the big drum? Ooo look, sticks! Seriously - parents will attest, they have prevented many "big drum" strops

  • They're very chompable With exception of the bells And easy for me to clean afterwards

Which is your child's favourite?
